you dont have to pay it, we went threw the same thing with my ex mother in law. they cant sew the dead and enless your name is on there you are not responsible to pay it. the credit card company just looses that money. dont let them tell you different. even a back stabin lawyer who wants you to pay him will tell you that you are no libable.

You don%26#039;t pay them. You call the credit card company up and tell them she died (sorry for your loss) provide them with a death cert if necessary. Legally unless your name was on the credit cards you are not responsble for them.

if the credit cards are only in her name, then you are not liable to pay them, and as she has no estate the debt dies with her,

please do not be persuaded by anyone into paying them or sign anything that may transfer the debt into your name, some companys do not care who they exploit and there is no one more vulnarable than some one who is grieving.

a loan company did this to my mother after my dad died and she ended up having to pay back all of the loan because they convinced her to sign a piece of paper that she did not understand.

just get in touch with the companys concerned, tell them that your mother has passed away leaving no estate and send them a copy of the death certificate.
